Our pancake breakfast was a huge success and we served more than 350 plates of pancakes, eggs, and sausage. While the food was great, the highlight of the event was eating breakfast while our South Shore Orchestra played in the background.
The Greater Albany School Board recognized our 3rd, 4th, and 5th academic all-stars at the board meeting on February 13th. Each of these students earned the highest score for their grade-level on the Smarter Balance Assessment. We are very proud of them!
Together we are all “working hard to get smart”!

Breakfast plate includes three pancakes, two sausage links, scrambled eggs and your choice of milk or juice.
Plates are $3 each.
Please return the order form and payment to the office by February 17th. Your tickets will be sent home with your child.

We had a great Family Dance on Friday night. The event was sponsored and coordinated by our amazing Parent Teacher Club and we had over 200 people attend. There was a surprising number of kindergarten breakdancers and everyone displayed some sweet dance moves.
Our next family event is a Pancake breakfast on Saturday, February 25th from 9:00-11:00 in the school cafeteria. We will see you there!
Donations wanted for South Shore PTC Flea Market Booth
The South Shore Parent Teacher Club will be having a booth at the Linn County Flea Market, held on Saturday, March 4th. All proceeds from our booth will go to South Shore Elementary School PTC.
Right now, we need donated items to sell!
For example:
Please no—2nd hand clothes or toys unless they are “vintage”. No old tvs or computer equipment.
We will be collecting donations for the Flea Market at the Breakfast Fundraiser. Bring any items you are willing to donate to South Shore on Saturday Feb, 25th.
